From your PASSION to ours A Relief Supervisor fills in for supervisors on any shift and performs other supervisory functions in the parameters set forth.
The String Make Relief Supervisor assists the department manager to enhance the technical and financial performance of the cheese production department.
The Production Supervisor will lead their team to meet the required production in terms of quantity, cost, deadlines and quality to ensure a secure manufacturing environment From your EXPERTISE to ours Key responsibilities for this position include:Assists the department manager to enhance the technical and financial performance of the department. Directs adjustments of the manufacturing processes to maintain conformance with Standards, specifications, and customer requirements. Responsible for maintaining all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and all regulatory requirements. Responsible for a variety of reports to include, but not limited to, production volume, yields, quality, productivity, and efficiency. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. Schedule staff and estimate work hour requirements for completion of daily job assignments. Responsible for the review and approval of time records of all staff assigned. Will be required to explain variances in hours worked, productivity and any other functions.
Work with all departments to ensure proper adherence to GMPGSP, FSSC practices, QC Policies, and procedures as well as proper maintenance of equipment.
Collects and provides any data necessary for budget creation or implementation. Cooperates with other management in establishing and communicating company policies, operating procedures, and goals. Ensures quality assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. Ensures effective employee relations by supporting and maintaining a safe and positive work environment. Analyzes and assists in resolving work and/or employee issues through problem resolution. Travel and/or extended work hours may be required.This description reflects management's assignment of essential functions, it does not proscribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
Requirements From your STORY to ours Qualified applicants will contribute the following:Education High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree preferred. Experience 2+ years Supervisory or lead person experience required. Experience in production, packaging, warehouse, or distribution center preferred. Experience in Food Manufacturing preferred. Specialized Knowledge OSHA, Food Safety, FDA, and USDA. Knowledge of ISO and certifications within the food industry (FSSC, ISO9001). Computers and Systems (Microsoft Office and manufacturing operating systems). Skills / Abilities Effective written and verbal communication skills. Business acumen including problem solving and analysis. Effective time management, planning, organizing and delegation.
