The role of Executive Associate Dean for Academics is a pivotal position in driving academic growth and expansion. This individual serves as the chief architect and driver of strategic design and execution, developing new programs, delivery models, clinical and academic partnerships, and initiatives that align with workforce demand and institutional priorities.

This leader must possess a proven track record of building programs, launching partnerships, and scaling innovation. They will convert the strategic vision into measurable results through market intelligence, financial modeling, and stakeholder collaboration, while upholding the highest standards of quality, compliance, and operational integrity.

Key responsibilities include leading the development and execution of a statewide academic growth strategy, driving market-informed program design, and collaborating across institutions to align innovation with health system, policy, and community goals.

In addition, this executive will build and steward formal partnerships with health systems, community colleges, and other higher education institutions, negotiate and manage agreements, and develop tools for academic finance, including enrollment and clinical capacity modeling, program-level proformas, margin analysis, and metrics.

This individual must ensure compliance with accreditation, licensure, and regulatory standards, lead expansion of clinical education capacity, champion faculty and staff development aligned to growth, succession planning, and leadership pipeline development, and foster shared governance and data-informed decision-making to guide expansion.
