Job Summary

The Member Services Representative plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional member experience by providing top-notch customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests.

Key Responsibilities

Greets members, prospective members and guests with a friendly demeanor, exceeding their expectations with outstanding customer service.

Handles all front desk activities, including:

Answers phone calls promptly and assists callers with a variety of inquiries.

Checks members into the system efficiently.

New member sign-ups are processed in a timely manner.

Tours prospective members around the club, showcasing its amenities.

Facilitates updates to member accounts as needed.

Responds to member questions and concerns in a professional and timely manner, escalating issues to Assistant Manager or Manager if necessary.

Contributes to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the club.

Qualifications

A customer service background is preferred but not required.

Basic computer skills are necessary for daily operations.

A passion for fitness and health is essential.

An upbeat and positive attitude is mandatory.

Punctuality and reliability are expected.

Exceptional customer service skills are crucial, allowing individuals to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues.

A strong listener who can empathize and resolve issues effectively.

Demonstrates diplomacy in all interactions, using appropriate behavior and language.

A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Candidates must be at least 16 years old.

Physical Demands

Requires continual standing and walking during shifts.

Continual communication with members and colleagues via phone and in-person.

Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

May encounter hazardous chemicals during work hours.

Employees at franchise locations are employed by the Franchisee, not PFHQ (the Franchisor).
