- Reads blueprint or job order for specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, tooling instructions, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cuts, and cutting tools.
- Adjust machine settings as needed.
- Lifts parts manually or with a hoist and positions and secures parts in holding device, machine table, or fixture.
- Observes the cutting action of the machine to detect excessive wear or malfunction. Changes tooling as needed.
- Verifies dimensions of the machined part to specifications using primary measuring devices (mics, calipers, etc.).
- Computer literate along with the ability to multitask.
- Complete inspection paperwork as needed.
- Ensures that parts are made to Kobelco Compressors specifications.
- Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
- Duties include unlocking the building, assign job assignments for the shift, troubleshoot and assist other machinists when needed.
- High School Diploma or GED and two-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 5 or more years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read Micrometers and Calipers along with other measurement gages.

Kobelco Compressors Manufacturing Indiana immediately needs CNC Setup Machinists on the 3rd shift. As a CNC Setup Machinist, you will produce compressor components with CNC Mills and Lathes while maintaining quality and safety standards to meet customer expectations. 3rd shift workers will get a shift premium added to the regular hourly rate.
