    Job Summary


    The Radiologic Technologist, through knowledge and professional training, administers Roentgen rays to patients, ranging from newborn to geriatric age groups, recognizing the individual needs as it relates to imaging procedures and methodologies employed to obtain diagnostic images.

    Operates x-ray equipment, prepares patients for x-ray explains procedures, positions patient and assists patient at the end of procedures. Will provide services in other modalities with appropriate training.

    Job Requirements

    Minimum Education Requirement

    Completion of a two year accredited School of Radiologic Technology.

    Minimum Experience Requirement

    Prior experience preferred, but not required.

    Prior CT experience preferred

    Minimum License Requirement

    A.R.R.T. South Carolina QRSA license.

    Physical Requirement/Working Conditions

    Must be able to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays. Must be able to take call. Requires standing, walking, turning, bending, stooping and lifting. Performs surgical radiology procedures at any time needed, regular hours, on call or weekends.

    External applicants, as well as position incumbents who become disabled, must be able to perform the essential functions, either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined on a case by case basis.
