We currently invite applications for the role of Financial Planning and Analysis Lead

    The Financial Planning & Analysis Lead will assist in the preparation of internal financial reporting, detailed financial analysis of results and during the planning process.

    **Key Duties & Responsibilities:**

    + Coordinate the AXIS Specialty Insurance quarterly forecasts and actual results process in conjunction with actuarial and business partners

    + Analyze and underwriting results and expenses, including analysis of trends, unexpected variances and monitor key performance indicators

    + Prepare Financial MD&A and quarterly results presentation

    + Prepare supplemental pack for quarterly earnings reporting

    + Produce and analyze monthly reporting pack providing oversight and review of finalized report

    + Maintain and develop the segment expense allocation process

    + Develop financial models and analyses to support initiatives

    + Prepare monthly expense and headcount reports, including related analysis and commentary

    + Prepare presentations for quarterly board updates, leadership meetings and rating agencies

    + Coordinate the preparation and presentation of the annual expense budgets with cost center managers and business partners

    + Assist with the preparation of the overall divisional plans and continued development of budgeting, forecasting, planning and modeling tools

    + Prepare materials required for external reporting purposes

    + Ad-hoc reporting and analysis and projects as required

    **Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience:**

    + Post Graduate degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance

    + An internationally recognized accounting qualification (CA, ACCA or CPA) with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience

    + Minimum 5 years of insurance/reinsurance knowledge and experience in reporting, analysis and finance systems

    + Current knowledge of US GAAP relating to insurance and reinsurance, and understanding of key performance indicators

    + Strong systems skills including Microsoft Excel; experience with the Anaplan and Hyperion business suites is an advantage

    + Strong analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication and organizational skills

    + Highly motivated with a proven ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, respond to changing priorities and work overtime

    + Ability to work with all levels of management and to collaborate and encourage successful teamwork
