- GED or High School Diploma.
- Food Handlers Certification.
- Ability to read and communicate in English.
- Ability to accurately count, weigh, and measure.
- Ability to follow instructions and take initiative in assigned tasks.
- Ability to work independently or with limited supervision.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as walking, stooping, standing, twisting, squatting, and lifting.
- Interact professionally with staff, students, faculty, visitors, and co-workers.
- Utilize food preparation techniques outlined in recipes or as instructed.
- Complete attractive plating, panning, or presentation of prepared foods for catering functions.
- Assist in managing inventory by pulling food items from the storeroom and performing other inventory duties.
- Provide written notification to the cafeteria manager regarding food or equipment needs for special functions.
- Monitor food and beverage temperature prior to service and take corrective actions as needed.
- Disassemble catering functions according to instructions.
- Dispose of or store leftover foods properly.
- Perform tasks in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
- Perform cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Report to work on time with proper uniform and grooming.
- Adhere to all school district and building rules and regulations.
- Utilize proper hand washing techniques.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and culinary seminars as scheduled.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
