    THE TYPE OF CANDIDATE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    Our ideal candidate exhibits the qualifications listed below:
    • Journeyworker machinist certificate or equivalent skill level
    • 10+ years of machining experience
    • Working knowledge of GD&T
    • Proficiency with CAD/CAM systems
    • Passion for manufacturing
    • Experience in aerospace manufacturing is a plus
    • A deep sense of responsibility, resourcefulness, and good listening skills

    YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS AN EXPERIENCED MACHINIST

    In this position, you'll have the opportunity to be part of the team developing innovative machining processes. From helping define the order of operations, cutting tools, and work holding and quality processes, to running that first article on the machine, you will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise on a daily basis. As you set up and run first article and early stage production parts, you'll be the go-to person for tool path optimization and establishing routines for load/unload, in-process inspections, and workcenter housekeeping. Your contributions to the development of production standards and techniques will be invaluable, and you'll adhere to documentation and file management standards to ensure smooth operations.

    This position also calls for your mentorship skills as you play a vital role in training and guiding our talented apprentices. You'll participate in our Technical Excellence Training (TExT) apprenticeship program, create skill development assignments, and evaluate apprentice skill demonstrations for approval. Your mentorship will help shape the future of manufacturing And of course, we can't forget about continuous improvement and 6S. You'll be an integral part of our team's commitment to daily clean-up and contribute to improvement initiatives that keep us at the forefront of our industry.
