    Summary:
    An Assistant Project Manager is responsible to assist in the operational and financial success of the project(s).

    A few primary measures of success are as follows:

    Responsibilities:
    o Project Management
    Assist the Senior Project Manager and/or Project Manager with the following:

    • Preparing subcontractor RFPs and contracts
    • Managing project procurement and buyout
    • Traveling to jobsites and assisting in on-site trade coordination
    • Organizing, managing, project meetings, and meeting minutes
    • Budgeting, scheduling, and project planning
    • Ensuring project is constructed according to project documents, and assisting in quality control processes
    • Preparing and managing submittal logs and process for construction projects based on project drawings and specifications
    • Managing submittal processing and maintaining up-to-date submittal logs
    • Distribute contract documents to subcontractors, including drawings, specifications, and general conditions.
    • Organizing projects per company policies and procedures: cost control, procurement of materials and subcontractor selection
    • Preparing all necessary back up relating to change requests
    • Tracking and assembling information for sustainable delivery systems such as LEED/CHPS/Etc.
    • Manage and participate in shop drawing and submittal review
    • Reviewing and approving vendor invoices
    o Preconstruction Competency

    • Preparing detailed cost estimates for change requests
    • Completing take-offs and estimates from 'in-progress' drawings
    • Estimating software basic knowledge
    • Solicit subcontractors and suppliers for proposal prior to submission time
    • Determine value engineering/constructability opportunities
    • General understanding of conceptual estimating
    Job Requirements


    Details:
    o Qualifications

    • Related bachelor"s degree or commensurate experience
    • 3 plus years of construction related experience
    • Ability to navigate and interpret project plans
    • Ability to travel and/or relocate nationwide
    • LEED AP credentials are a plus
    • Strong fundamental knowledge of engineering and management principles
    • Organizational skills
    • Willing to take responsibility for their actions
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional environment
