    Apex Systems, America's second largest technical staffing firm, has a long-term contract opening for a Desktop Technician with a client in Auburn, Washington. We are looking to hire fast and expect these resources to start soon.

    Position: Desktop Support Technician

    Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

    Location: Work on-site at client location in Auburn, WA

    Duration: 12+ month contract

    There is some travel associated with this role to various plants in multiple states.

    Overview:

    The candidate needs to possess a strong knowledge of Windows OS troubleshooting, Apple support protocols, mobile device support (iOS/Android), remote software tools, basic networking configurations, and print management software. Responsibilities also include the installation and maintenance of various software packages and operating systems for both Mac and PC, as well as upgrading and installation of computer and printer hardware.

    Looking for 2+ years experience in the support of computer systems (Windows and Macintosh). Experience with AV systems, SCCM, Citrix, scripting, and group policy recommended.

    Responsibilities:

    • Install/support both Mac and PC operating systems. (Windows 2008/2012/2016 Server, Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 11, Mac OS10)
    • Support end user with problems arising from software packages
    • Support end user with problems arising from computer hardware
    • Configure and support both PC and Mac computers
    • Provide basic instruction to end user on use of software packages
    • Provide periodical help desk service to campus end users
    • Prioritize troubleshooting tickets from end users
    • Provide administration in Active Directory
    • Provide basic networking troubleshooting
