    -Assists the Logistics Supervisor in meeting the daily logistics activities at a busy chemical manufacturing plant.

    -Coordinate shipments of package and bulk (tank truck and rail) goods in both domestic and export movements.

    -Utilize SAP and other logistics software.

    -Assist with inbound raw material logistics as needed.

    -Participate as a high-performance team member on plant and inter-plant teams.

    -Confer with Area Production coaches to confirm inventory is ready to ship. -Maintains communications with Customer Service Representatives, Carriers and 3rd Party Logistics.

    -Responds to afterhours and weekends logistics needs; m aintain a safe work environment engaging with plant safety culture.

    -Support Logistics supervisor in giving direction and assistance to hourly personnel in logistics functions; attending meetings to deliver logistics reports and working to improve overall the shipping process including on time delivery and management of cost through invoice monitoring and carrier management.

    Education

    H.S Diploma or GED required.

    College Degree preferred.

    Experience

    Prefer 2-5 years previous experience in logistics; SAP experience desired.
