This role involves configuring, installing, fitting, and maintaining various piping systems to ensure seamless operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designs, installs, and maintains piping systems composed of different materials; systems may include pipes, gauges, filters, steam traps, and strainer valves.

• References blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions; creates procedures based on specifications.

• Gathers equipment and materials for the job.

• Cuts, welds, bends, threads, solders, and fits pipes.

• Attaches pipes to walls using brackets, cuts or bores holes prior to installation.

• Installs insulation and pipe covering; safely removes old coverings according to hazardous waste procedures and regulations.

• Inspects pipes, testing for pressure and leaks; reports and resolves problems.

• Coordinates with management to schedule maintenance, repairs, and installations to minimize disruptions.

• Complies with applicable safety codes, regulations, and best practices.

• Maintains records, including safety logs and inspection details.

• Performs other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Fire Sprinkler Fitter.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; vocational training is highly desirable.

• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.

• Proficiency in using various tools, including blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional Duties:

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods standing and stretching to install and repair pipes.

• Lifts up to 15 pounds at times.

• Requires visual acuity to inspect piping systems and read plans or blueprints.
