    Description
    This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of a retail convenience store by performing the following duties.

    Essential Duties:
    • Performs all opening duties including collecting all reports necessary and completing daily paperwork.
    • Inputting and scanning all daily paperwork into the back-office system.
    • Assists the store manager with shift coverage.
    Job Duties:
    • Greets customers, answers questions and provides prompt, courteous service.
    • Responsible for all payment transactions with customers including cash payments, dispensing change, and running credit card payments for customers while maintaining an accurate cash drawer.
    • Must record opening and closing coins, and lottery tickets, and print all reports for shift for books.
    • Activates pumps outside with credit cards fills customer fuel tank with correct grade and amount of fuel and provides receipts of sale.
    • Perform all closing duties including posting Veeder root, setting alarm, and securing building (may not be applicable at all stations).
    • Prepare hot food while maintaining all food safety standards.
    • Dispensing lottery tickets.
    • Verifies the age of the customer when purchasing alcohol, cigarettes, or lottery.
    • Maintains and restocks supplies and stores inventory.
    • Completes assigned cleaning responsibilities.
    • Reports any suspicious activity to the direct supervisor and authorities, if needed.
    • Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
    • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
    • Respectfully takes direction from supervisor/district coordinator.
    • Maintains Chevron Customer First Standards.
    • Closes store when needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Education & Experience:One year of related experience and/or training in management, assistant management, or supervisory roles is required.

    Travel Requirement:This position requires minimal local travel with no overnight stays. Language Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

    Mathematical Skills:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Computer Skills:Has advanced basic computer job skills including logging on to systems, ability to communicate by email, ability to compose documents, entering database information, creating presentations, downloading forms, and preserving/backup important data.

    Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
