    We're seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse Manager to oversee the OR staff and ensure the delivery of top-notch patient care, in full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards.

    Monday-Friday, Day shift (0700 reporting time)

    • Day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays

    The Inova Oakville Ambulatory Surgery Center, situated in the Potomac Yards area of Alexandria, is nearing completion in its construction phase.

    This cutting-edge facility will be a cornerstone of the newly established Inova medical campus, scheduled for inauguration in mid-2024.

    Boasting state-of-the-art infrastructure, the center will feature three (3) Operating Rooms, (3) Procedure/GI Suites, and 12 PreOp/PACU bays, all geared towards delivering top-tier medical services to our community.

    Supervise all surgical areas of care, ensuring the day-to-day operations are conducted in accordance with clinical practice standards and policies of the center

    • Ensure sufficient staffing daily, remain accessible to staff by providing breaks, ensuring coverage for meal breaks, late cases and staffing shortages
    • Supervise department personnel to ensure staff achieve their potential as members of an effective team
    • Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new staff members; monitor productivity and manage performance
    • Assess the staff's educational needs and implement a plan to meet these needs
    • Maintain an adequate inventory of drugs and medical supplies in the operating room and endoscopy suite areas
    • Maintain a collegial relationship with physicians and other ASC stakeholders to ensure quality patient care
    • Participate in and monitor quality improvement programs
    A minimum of three (3) years progressive work experience in an outpatient surgery setting or operating room in an acute care hospital, which reflects both clinical and management skills

    • Graduate from an accredited nursing institution, BSN or MSN preferred
