$10,000 Sign On Bonus POSITION SUMMARY Reports To: Director of Rehab Services, Rehab Supervisor Summary: The Inpatient Physical Therapist is responsible and accountable for providing physical therapy evaluation and treatment for inpatients on our medical surgical unit at Decatur County Memorial Hospital. He or she may treat pediatric,#adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. The Inpatient Physical Therapist directs and supervises patients who are treated by physical therapy assistants and complies with all policies and procedures in the Rehabilitation Services Department and Decatur County Memorial Hospital. Job duties include: patient evaluation, assessment, writing plans of treatment, administration of treatment sessions, supervision, and community/patient education. Work Schedule: May work up to 40 hrs/week between the hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Weekend coverage is also expected on a rotational basis. Must be able to work non-standard hours, including weekends. SKILLS # ABILITIES Education Minimum of Bachelor#s Degree from a University or College with an accredited Physical Therapy Program.# Experience One to two years related experience preferred but new grads welcome Computer Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility. Certificates # Licenses Must possess a valid Indiana#driver#s license and have a good driving record.# Current State of Indiana license in Physical Therapy. BLS Certification#required. Other Requirements Twenty-two (22) hours of continuing competency activities are required for each licensure renewal period. This position requires the ability to stand and walk frequently, use of hands and fingers, squat, kneel or bend frequently, and lift or move more than 50 pounds.
