    The Department of Physiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is looking for candidates interested in a Full Professor role on the tenure track.

    • Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree.
    • Teaching duties may involve instructing graduate and medical students and supervising graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
    • Successful candidates should have funding and a globally recognized reputation for exceptional and productive research, including impactful publications.
    • We are looking for researchers with a proven track record of excellence in research focusing on fundamental mechanistic exploration utilizing molecular, biophysical, structural, and cell-biological insights to advance understanding of physiological functions.

    The Department has expertise in areas such as membrane transport, cytoskeletal biology, molecular motors, cell signaling, metabolism, and cellular neuroscience, with a particular emphasis on new technologies and interdisciplinary research.

    The Perelman School of Medicine, a top-ranked medical school in the United States for NIH funding, offers a highly collaborative environment with cutting-edge core facilities.

    There are chances for appointments in various thematic institutes and centers, such as the Cardiovascular Institute, Mahony Institute for Neurosciences, Pennsylvania Muscle Institute, and Abramson Cancer Center.
