    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position in an Inpatient Rehab Unit, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience and a NM or Compact RN license.

    Responsibilities

    • Located in Santa Fe, NM at a regional medical center
    • Assignment in the Inpatient Rehab Unit within Patient Care Services
    • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
    • 13-week contract duration
    • Coordinates and implements patient care appropriate to the age and needs of the assigned patient population
    • Ensures safe, efficient, and quality care consistent with unit standards
    • Works collaboratively with physicians, staff, patients, and families in a respectful and professional manner
    • Reports to the Patient Care Director or Manager
    • Work environment includes exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and x-rays
    • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates; local candidates are not accepted unless explicitly noted on the position

    Requirements

    • Active NM RN license or Compact state RN license required
    • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
    • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
    • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
    • Must provide 2 professional references for consideration
    • US Social Security Number required for consideration
    • Copies of all active certifications required for consideration
    • Ability to handle emergency and crisis situations
    • Must be capable of prolonged standing, walking, heavy lifting, positioning, and transferring of patients and equipment
    • Requires considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
    • Visual and hearing acuity within normal or correctable limits; manual dexterity and fine motor coordination required
