    Description

    Job Purpose

    The EMR Analyst is responsible for providing technical support and subject matter expertise for eClinicalWorks EHR, working with clinic and administrative associates to ensure the application meets their needs.

    Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • The EMR Application Analyst is an operational and technical SME for eClinicalWorks.
    • Analyzes problems and errors produced by eClinicalWorks applications and users of eClinicalWorks applications and recommends controls by writing improved procedures that will effectively correct the problems.
    • Analyzes business applications and designs improvement modifications by writing requirements, user stories, and documenting processes.
    • Monitors project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions.
    • Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; provides help desk support; end-user training.
    • Ability to work within a dynamic team environment, interacting and coordinating with other members of the EMR team, Information Technology department, and business stakeholders
    • Assists in maintaining all functional areas in eClinicalWorks
    • Support: ensure all issues are answered and resolved in a timely manner
    • Clear documentation of support issues in ServiceDesk (ticketing system). Assists in developing the issue documentation skills of teammates.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Experience

    Knowledge and experience with eClinicalWorks while working as an analyst or administrator required

    Must have at least four (4) years business application analysis, project management, or related experience, preferably with web-based applications.

    Medical office experience preferred

    Training experience preferred

    Education

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Associate's Degree or higher preferred

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Knowledge of electronic medical record systems and software.
    • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficient with the use of computers and electronic medical records.
    • Strong understanding of the implications of HIPAA, commitment to maintain patient, team member and employer confidentiality.
    • Customer service skills working with people at all levels
    • Detail Oriented – Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
    • Ability to adapt easily to changing conditions and work responsibilities.
    • Model positive attitude and is a positive agent for change.

    • Understanding of project life cycle and project management methodologies.

    • Ability to effectively write and present business correspondence, reports and procedure manuals.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

    Work Hours, Travel Requirements

    • Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and as needed to complete projects. 100% onsite
    • Travel to medical offices may be necessary for the purpose of providing benefit education.
