Job summary
The Florida Department of Education Office of Professional Practice Services administers a state-level grievance process and plays an integral part in ensuring that appropriate disciplinary actions are taken against the certificate of an educator certified to teach in Florida.The incumbent in this position is responsible for preparing documents relating to the adjudication of issues leading to the suspension, revocation or denial of certificates or other disciplinary actions against certified educators.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assists with scheduling, notifying, and/or conducting informal conferences. Assists with planning travel and site visits for investigations conducted pursuant to , F.S. Compiles backup materials legal documents investigators work product for review approval Acquires compiles documents assist potential pending investigations Acquires compiles all related administrative actions draft reports Conduct DHSMV CCIS checks Conduct telephone interviews assist investigations Knows understands interprets applies pertinent statutes rules investigative process Maintain all records accurate manner document maintain confidential records Generates distributes communications educators administrators district staff others Preps processes tech docs paperwork forms Opens case files processes related correspondence ensures notices made Prepares delivers letters correspondence notifications Closes purges case files Researches stored Microfiche System Maintains central filing system investigative reports Assists docket entries into case management system Ensure proper documented Ensures public record requests Receives communicates Department Children Families Answers office telephones prepares mail outs copies docs Performs duties assigned
