Overview:St. John Fisher University is an independent, liberal arts institution that provides a transformative education to approximately 3,800 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students each year. Under the direct supervision of the Director of the Institute of Civic and Community Engagement, the adjunct instructor will:
Minimum Qualifications: A Master's degree from an accredited college or university. Teaching experience preferred. Nonprofit experience required. Successful applicants will have a minimum of 3 years' leadership experience in the area of course study. Candidates will also possess strong civic leadership, community engagement, and a deep understanding of best practices for diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies.

Work Environment:In-person daytime classroom teaching environment.
Equipment to be Used:Classroom teaching technology including PC Windows-based computer, audio-visual console, video projection unit, Zoom accessories.
Work Hours:The instructor will teach one course per calendar year. The instructor is expected to be in the classroom for seven class meetings and a total of 12-14 hours. Instructors are typically in the classroom from approximately 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Preparation of instructional materials such as textbook selection, syllabus creation, and class presentations/activities are to be completed by the instructor outside of classroom time.
