    Responsibilities:
    The Principal will lead all administrative and educational efforts within the assigned school.
    This individual will be the strategic and tactical leader in the following areas:

    • Day-to-day responsibility for the overall functioning of the school– ensuring quality instruction, safe and supportive environment, data driven instruction and the administration of all formative and summative assessments, implementation of required curricula, development of teacher capacity and growth, arts infusion implementation, restorative approach to student management.
    • Management and development of leadership team
    • Building and maintaining key parent, community, and board relations.
    • Supervision of operations including ensuring full enrollment and recruitment of students, ensuring spending is in line with budget, hiring and firing staff as required.

    Requirements:
    A strong belief that all scholars can succeed.
    M.Ed. or higher in School Administration, Curriculum and Instruction
    An Indiana Dept. Of Ed. Teaching and Administrative license
    3-5 years of urban teaching and leading
    A proven track record of closing the achievement gap

    Strong judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
    Creative, flexible and innovative team player
    Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
