    Role Summary:

    This role revolves around overseeing training curriculum, compliance standards, and implementing training programs within the Stores organization. The Training Supervisor manages onboarding for new hires, offers training guidance and curriculum for Stores agents in performing their duties, and sets priorities for training, all in coordination with the Stores Training Program and under the Manager of Stores Training’s approval.



    Key Duties:

    • Oversee day-to-day training responsibilities to support Stores operations in the Bay area.
    • Provide all necessary training materials and curriculum.
    • Recommend and update job function manuals as needed.
    • Coordinate specific onboarding training for new hires with Onboarding, HR, and the SEA Team.
    • Facilitate New Hire Onboarding classes for Stores agents.
    • Update department manuals to align with training initiatives.
    • Communicate and implement new initiatives, policy, and procedure changes.
    • Evaluate and offer counseling for enhanced performance to Stores Supervisor regarding new hire Probationary Evaluations.
    • Ensure company and regulatory safety compliance and promote safety awareness among employees.
    • Facilitate monthly reports to ensure all agents are compliant in all Training courses.
    • Investigate issues with duties performance or Dangerous Goods shipments related to training.
    • Collaborate with the Manager of Training and SEA Team on Training Projects.
    • Create any additional curriculum needed for classes.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the Manager of Training.

    Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills:

    Required

    • 3 years of experience in Stores or a relevant field.
    • Bachelor's degree or two additional years of relevant training/experience.
    • Willingness to work variable shifts (nights, weekends, holidays).
    • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening).
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Snag It.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum age of 18.
    • Authorized to work in the U.S.
    • Travel may be required.
    • TRAX experience in Stores Agent functions.
    • Dangerous Goods (IATA, 49 CFR) knowledge, preferably DG Shipper trained.

    Preferred

    • Experience with inventory management software and control.
    • Familiarity with OSHA/EPA regulations and warehouse operations.
    • Knowledge of IAM labor agreements or experience in a bargaining unit environment.

    Salary Range:

    $76,600 - $114,900 per year. Salary is based on various factors, including location, experience, and skill set, maintaining equity among Alaska/Horizon employees.

    Note:

    We typically do not hire at the top of the salary range.
