    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
    To supply our customers with quality products, while continuing to reduce internal non-conformances and customer returns. Lead and maintain the ISO 9000 quality system and communicate the company's quality objectives and goals throughout the organization.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


    Manage the ISO 9000 Program; maintain the Quality Manual, Controlled Documents Log; Chair Management Review Meeting; Log Internal Audit, Corrective Actions and Calibration System.

    To interact with all departmental managers, supervisors, and employees to clearly communicate quality objectives and goals.

    To be proactive in resolving customer complaints as well as internal quality issues by implementing solid corrective and preventative action in a timely manner.

    Responsible for maintaining product traceability and customer certifications.
    Provide technical support for direct and indirect RBS departments, Suppliers and Customers.

    Aid in developing training plans and work instructions to direct and indirect production positions, to support a foundation of QC training to support RBS Quality Policy.

    Responsible for establishing and monitoring inspection plans.
    Develop and maintain vendor quality rating system and conduct vendor audits as required.
    Oversee the disposition and rework of non-conforming products.
    Accountable for daily, weekly, and monthly metrics creation, maintenance, and reporting.
    Responsible for the Quality Lab's creation and adherence to daily standard work.

    Lead the Return Goods Authorization (RGA) process.
    Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all safety rules.
    Other duties as assigned.


    SUPERVISION:
    Supervises - Quality Engineer, 1st and 2nd shift technicians.


    EQUIPMENT USED:
    CMM (Zeiss), Comparator, Computer, Micrometers, Calipers, Dial Bore Gages, and other measuring equipment.


    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    Education:
    4-year College Degree in Quality Assurance is preferred, or an Associate's Degree in a related field with commensurate experience.
    High school diploma or equivalent required


    Experience:
    5 or more years of experience required, preferably in a metal removing manufacturing environment.


    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
    Strong leadership skills

    Strong metrology skills
    Solid machine operation knowledge
    Excellent math skills especially in statistical process controls
    Working knowledge of preparing documentation for ISO 9000, PPAP, FMEA, APQP, SPC and other related activities.
