    Description


    Inserting Operator 1This position is responsible for ensuring the quality of all work being processed in Mail Operations by checking the work on various machines and trays from the equipment and manual insertion team.

    Additional responsibility of setting up and running the envelope machine that they are assigned to, produce orders planned on the machine, and perform maintenance to support operation of the machines.


    Responsibilities:
    Perform random and frequent quality control checks on work in progress throughout shift.

    Checking work in print, inserting, card production and hand fulfillment teams to ensure that proper materials and components are selected and used for each job.

    Quality check performed on all trays of processed mail by the Hand fulfillment team to ensure that proper materials and components are selected and used for each job.

    Notify and work with operators, leads and Management (if needed) to research and resolve discrepancies with missing mail pieces, postage over/under rings and inaccurate piece counts, etc.

    Provide and file reports of errors found to Leads, supervisors and management at the end of each shift for each machine.

    Some reports require computer and website usage.
    Set-up and run the high-speed inserting machines for production runs including size changes for envelopes and windows. This includes mechanical as well as basic computer software adjustments and troubleshooting to clear complex jams. Load full trays of mail onto carts and into APCs/ pallets.


    Qualifications:
    High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    Prior experience in a fast-paced production environment is Preferred.
    Prior experience that required focus on searching for and resolving errors quickly is preferred.
    Computer literacy.
    Basic math skills required (production reports)Strong time management, attention to detail and organization skills.
    Flexibility in work schedule to work overtime when needed.
