    As an Enterprise Architect, you are a proven technology leader who provides technical advisory services to key decision makers and design for the technical development of enterprise customers utilizing the Akamai's Intelligent Edge Platform.

    You will utilize tools, processes, and knowledge to design and optimize Akamai security, media, compute, and delivery performance solutions for Akamai clients.

    You will build strategic roadmaps with some of the worlds largest and most dynamic companies to meet their business objectives and achieve increased value from their investment in Akamai.

    Become a technical influencer


    Working within an integrated team, you'll provide technical advisory services and technical development designs to key decision-makers, influencing your customers' business strategies and maximizing the value they receive from our products.

    You'll be an expert lead on cutting-edge and emerging technologies.

    You will also show high standards of leadership- provide subject-matter-expertise for new products to the rest of the organization, research, establish, and disseminate industry trends, and actively support other teams within the Akamai Global Services organization through training and one-on-one mentorship.

    As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for:

    Working with customers to define a technical strategy for business-critical web applications, mobile expansion, and network infrastructure

    Analyzing performance and security observability data and other metrics to identify critical issues and opportunities for improvement

    Providing guidance to peers on best practices and latest technology trends, such as Dev-ops and Web performance

    Partnering with Product Management and Research & Development teams to develop future product direction and strategy

    Ensuring smooth running of customer engagements and act as final technical escalation point for internal stakeholders

    Acting as a customer advocate by confidently and proactively raising issues and concerns with customers before they can impact business

    Do what you love

    To be successful in this role you will:

    Have 8 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field, or its equivalent

    Have experience working in a customer-facing role focused on delivering technical products or services to diverse audiences of stakeholders

    Understand how the internet and its networks and protocols (IP, DNS and routing, HTTP, TCP, and other web architectures) work

    Be a trusted, independent technical consultant to our customers and build solid and strategic relationships based on the customer's best interests

    Be capable with popular scripting languages and development tools to help create automation on our platforms

    Be able to analyze data, provide actionable solutions and thought leadership through engaging storytelling to both internal & external stakeholders

    Demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to present to various stakeholders, from technical to operational to executive audiences

    Compensation

    Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

    The base salary for this position ranges from $120,917 - $193,746/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.

    The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
