    Description

    Job Number 661580BR Description:
    Operating in an F-22 Flight Test flight line and modification

    environment:

    • Perform final preparation of aircraft, and the diagnosis, repair and
    rework of operational malfunctions or failures disclosed during
    preflight preparation, preflight, post
    flight, and/or actual flight and flight test operations for F-22 Flight
    Test at Edwards AFB, California

    • Must be able to make complete final operational checks, rework,
    repair, adjustment, and servicing of military aircraft
    Be able to use mechanic's hand tools, precision measuring instruments and
    special test equipment.

    • Structures repair to include drilling, reaming, riveting, removing stuck or broken fasteners
    • Aerospace Ground Equipment inspection and use for ground operating procedures such as towing, jacking, external power,
    cooling and hydraulic power application.

    • Must have basic knowledge of composites fabrication as it relates to structural modification
    • Work to blueprints, diagrams, sketches, service bulletins,
    maintenance manuals and technical orders.

    • Drill, ream, countersink holes, install fasteners and rivets as required
    • Performs final finishing, grinding and polishing of parts as
    required

    • Proficient at removal, installation, repair and swaging of hydraulic tubing.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Experience with Launch, recover, pre flight/post flight inspection, refuel/defuel, hydraulic/oil/nitrogen servicing on fighter aircraft
    • Experience working with Electrical System Ground Handling and Test Equipment
    • Experience working with blueprints, diagrams, sketches, service bulletins, maintenance manuals and technical orders etc.


    Desired Skills:
    4 years of flight line mechanic experience on 5th generation
    fighter aircraft.

    • Extensive structural repair experience on 5th generation.
    • Proficient with aircraft towing, jacking and servicing.
    • Aircraft modification & repair experience
    • Active security clearance
    • Structures repair with an emphasis on precision drilling on and off aircraft.
    • Flight test experience.

    Security Clearance Statement:
    This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Work Schedules:
    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees
    Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
