    Responsibilities

    The Senior Project Manager will promote the overall growth and profitability of the Orange County office and have a commitment to community involvement and industry organizations.

    Qualifications

    Qualified candidates will have a BSCE degree, California Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer, plus a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in land development and/or public works; or the equivalent work experience of twelve (12) years in the industry.

    Qualified candidates will also have a minimum of eight (8) years of management experience supervising the work of engineers, designers, and other project support staff.


    Candidates for this position must demonstrate:
    Strong independent thought and decision-making abilities
    Possess demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
    Exhibit management ability
    Be adept in establishing and maintaining strong and positive working relationships with clients/public-agency personnel and in-house staff.

    Candidates managerial experience must include the following:
    Supervision of engineering design teams
    Management of project schedules and budgets
    Preparation and management of contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work; significant experience in client and
    Significant experience in client and public-agency interactions.

    Candidates technical experience must include the following:
    Site assessment, the ability to perform engineering design studies (incorporating infrastructure requirements, and potential regulatory issues)
    Preparation/processing

    of regulatory plans
    Preparation/processing

    of public improvement plans in support of public agencies and capital improvement projects
    Preparation/processing

    of plans to support land development projects
    Ability to perform constructability reviews
    Experience with a range of construction support services
    AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microsoft Projects, and Bluebeam experience is required.

    Additional Skills:
    Applies engineering principles, techniques, and procedures to design
    Possesses working knowledge of business and management principles associated with strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production procedures, interview and hiring methods and the coordination of people

    Accepts and carries out responsibility for the design team's direction, control and planning; sets realistic goals and makes plans independently.

    Exhibits a thorough understanding of jurisdictional processing
    Negotiate effectively
    Demonstrates a high level of leadership & management ability; accepts and responds appropriately to constructive feedback with others and applies seasoned time management
    Relates well and maintains a high level of respect and confidence from co-workers to public agencies
    Demonstrates a high level of competence in written and oral communication
    Possesses knowledge of CAD and its capabilities for preparing exhibits, studies and/or final plans
