    Job Description:

    • I. PURPOSE OF JOB:
    • To provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, to collaborate with the physician's medical plan, and to execute the hospital's objectives and policies.
    • II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
      • Assesses, plans, implements, documents, coordinates, and manages patient care in alignment with department and hospital standards, considering age-specific accommodations.
      • Utilizes managerial skills to effectively direct nursing personnel and coordinate patient care as required by regulations.
      • Communicates with patients, physicians, and other health care disciplines to ensure excellence in patient care during hospitalization and discharge planning.
      • Utilizes analytical skills to provide efficient patient care and handle critical situations promptly and safely.
      • Demonstrates technical competence in all psychomotor interventions when administering care to patients.
      • Shows leadership skills in team interactions and interpersonal relationships to create a cohesive environment.
      • Recognizes cultural differences and uses available resources to meet the needs of patients and their families across different age groups.
      • Demonstrates professionalism and ethical standards in performing duties and complies with all laws and regulations.
      • Adheres to Corporate Compliance Plan, rules, and regulations of relevant agencies, and HIPAA privacy rules.

      Job Qualifications:

      • A. Education:
        • 1. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
        • 2. Current licensure in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of State Bureau of Occupational and Professional Affairs and successful completion of continuing education specific to job requirements.
      • B. Experience: Medical/Surgical or Critical Care
      • C. Other Skills:
        • 1. Certified in -
        • 2. Interpersonal skills
        • 3. Competency in Administration Conscious Sedation
