    About the Role This role requires a deep understanding of GAAP, journal entries, financial processes, ERP systems, and payroll practices.

    The role oversees our general ledger and payroll operations. This leader will undertake all accounting transformation projects, provide insight to various stakeholders, and manage risks.

    They will act as a critical member of the leadership team in the development and execution of short-term and long-range plans, corporate goals, strategic planning, and growth objectives.

    What does a great Director of Accounting do?The individual in this role will ensure accounting team meet its close deadlines.

    They will assist in financial reporting and day-to-day finance operations processes in addition to ad hoc special projects as requested by senior management.


    How you will provide meaningful contributions:
    Lead and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset.

    Review and approve General Ledger accounting entries including but not limited to:
    Cash, fixed assets, leases, intangibles, commissions, payroll, debt, accruals, intercompany.
    Review and approve monthly and quarterly account reconciliations.
    Provide variance analysis for monthly and quarterly financial statements.
    Oversee month end close process in Netsuite and FloQast to ensure close deadlines are met.
    Oversee all payroll operations related to employee compensation, bonuses, commissions, equity, benefits, etc.
    Identify gaps in processes and work towards solution and implementation to create clear standards.
    Lead the design, implementation, and documentation of key process improvements and SOX compliant internal controls.
    Coordinate audit support and answer questions to facilitate timely audit completion for both Consolidated and Statutory audits.
    Coordinate with FP&A and HR to prepare and record compensation related accruals.
    Work closely with FP&A and other departments as an accounting resource for ad hoc questions and solutions.
    Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

    Required qualifications for the roleBachelors degree in Accounting or FinanceActive CPA License.8-12 years of accounting experience, including public accounting with a Big 4 firm preferred.

    In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Experienced with Excel and all facets of Microsoft Office.
    Excellent analytical skills and ability to resolve complex problems with multiple variables.
    Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
    Ability to initiate projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; exhibit a sense of urgency in performing work.
    Strong skills in working with expenses, accounting, and ability to reconcile accounts.

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills - ability to relate and clearly communicate with operating management, financial staff, and other departments, including professional writing style.

    Ability to cope and adapt in a changing environmentMust be a strong team player, highly motivated and able to work under pressure during peak periods.

    Preferred Skills / Experience Experience with ERP systems.
    Netsuite and FloQast are a plus.
    Masters in Accounting.
