Villanova University is looking for a Director of Research Compliance to join their team. This position plays a crucial role in overseeing the export controls and research security compliance programs at the university. Reporting to the Chief Internal Audit and University Compliance Officer, the Director will be responsible for ensuring institutional coordination and compliance with regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as the point of contact for export control regulations and provide training.
• Oversee the University's export control program and ensure compliance with policies.
• Collaborate with various departments to address research security regulations.
• Develop and implement export control management plans and monitor compliance.
• Conduct research security and export controls risk assessments.
• Support research compliance work in different areas of the University.
• Track federal regulations related to research compliance.
• Lead and participate in committees and working groups.
• Prepare reports, training materials, and resources on compliance topics.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the University Compliance Officer.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree with 4 years of experience or Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in export controls compliance.
• Knowledge of export controls and research security compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain high ethical standards.
• Proficiency in data collection and compliance metrics.

Preferred Qualifications:

• J.D. or Master's degree in Higher Education Administration.
• Experience in compliance in higher education or relevant fields.
• Familiarity with sponsored research compliance, export controls, and research security.

Physical Requirements:

• Office environment work with standard equipment.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
