- Installs and repairs covered wall and ceiling surfaces
- Maintains and repairs caulked, grouted, masonry, tile, or other exterior components.
- At times needed provide instructions and/or teaches techniques to other painters.
- Maintains clean and orderly work areas and ensures furniture in shop is has as necessary.
- Examine and maintain painted exterior and interior painted surfaces, trimming and fixtures
- Prepare surfaces and apply paints, stains, shading stains, and clear finishes
- Inspect and refurbish wall surfaces by means of the appropriate materials
- Drywall removal, replace & repair.
- Maintain paint supplies and materials
- Apply wood finishing by suitably preparing surface
- Submit finished work orders to supervisor
- Provide assistance to semi-skilled or unskilled workers
- Operate and maintain various power and manual tools
- Follow established protection procedures
- Clean up job site after work and return equipment and tools
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Remove and apply caulking
- Knowledge of wallpaper application and repair would be a plus
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day/night shifts, weekends and holidays
Requirements: - Must have the ability to communicate in English.
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
- Climbing, reading, standing, walking and routinely lifting 25 lbs to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.
Language Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate and work well with fellow employees and maintain a presentable appearance, behavior and manner at all times. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
