    Position Summary:

    Responsible for assisting Hotel-Housekeeping Management in conducting daily visual cleanliness and sanitation inspections on all turning hotel rooms prior to being released for sale. Promotes and exhibits World Class Guest Service to all the Isleta Resort and Casino employees and guests.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities: This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class.   • Perform open and closing procedures for the Housekeeping department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper and/or Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Inspect the cleaning of guest rooms to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Work with and train room attendants to ensure daily tasks are completed timely and accurately.
  • In the event that a room will not be released until it meets standards of cleanliness and brand requirements.
  • Inspect housekeeping carts and storages to ensure that they are properly stocked.
  • Support room attendants by cleaning and stripping guest rooms as needed
  • Communicate with the Front Office staff of any housekeeping delays or issues and make necessary changes to room status.
  • Fill out work order tickets as needed and ensure unacceptable rooms are not released back to inventory until items are addressed
  • Ensure lines of communication are open.
  • Ensure work area is clean when finished.
  • Maintain daily paperwork.
  • Greets, interacts and assists, both, internal and external guests in a professional manner to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious work environment.
  • Seeks to provide refined luxury services to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinates turn-down services and other special requests.
  • Maintains confidentiality of departmental affairs.
  • Maintains the integrity of the Guest Room Inspection Program.
  • Operates a smooth, efficient, and cost effective operation to including, but is not limited to, labor management, supervision of all aspects of services, and inventory controls.
  • Responds to all guest's requests and complaints in an immediate and professional manner.
  • Works closely with supervisory and managerial staff to develop overall skills and growth.
  • Ensures hotel Isleta Resort and Casino and equipment are properly used and maintained
  • Promotes and ensures an open and welcoming atmosphere that promotes skill enhancement.
  • Greets internal and external guests, maintains a friendly and inviting atmosphere, and promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
  • Gives basic instruction and information on all promotions and special events, as requested.
  • Occasionally performs other duties as assigned requested by Supervisor and / or Manager.

    Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma of General Educational Degree (GED) equivalent, preferred.
  • Two (2) years Room Attendant, Room Inspector, and/or Housekeeping Supervisor experience, required.
  • Previous experience at a Four (4) Diamond Resort, preferred

    Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certification

  • Must be able to acquire and maintain Non-Key Gaming License issued through POIGRA.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any days/hours as needed or required to meet business needs.
  • Must maintain all Isleta Resort and Casino-wide educational and certification requirements.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to take direction and feedback well.
  • Must be able to accurately complete assigned duties with attention to detail, follow through and successfully perform several tasks and meet deadlines under high levels of stress and with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills while paying close attention to details such as spelling, numbers, and grammar.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate, in writing and verbally, in English and in an effective, informative, and professional manner and be able to convey denials and/or defuse hostile guest situations with ease and tact.
  • Must possess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills including high integrity and respect for individuals.
  • Must possess and exhibit a positive attitude towards internal and external guests at all times.
  • Must possess a strong commitment to the organizational goals and objectives while showing the utmost discretion and loyalty to the organization when dealing with confidential information and data.
  • Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to read, understand, follow, and adhere to label precautions on cleaning solutions and containers while enforcing safety procedures.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to lift, move and place up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.

    Working Conditions:

    Work is generally performed in a fast pace Resort and office setting with possible expose to hazards, Blood Borne Pathogens, other potentially infections materials, and unusual elements such as: dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Occasionally may be required to interact with hostile and/or angry guests. The work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks which, require following basic safety precautions and use of Personal Protective Equipment.
