    Responsibilities:

    • Conducts psychosocial assessments:
      • Adheres to regulations and department policy
      • Communicates relevant information to health care providers
      • Identifies high-risk situations
    • Works collaboratively with care providers:
      • Responds to consults for assessment
      • Addresse complicated discharge issues
      • Collaborates with inpatient and outpatient clinics
    • Provides individual, family, and group support:
      • Identifies support needs
      • Initiates meetings
      • Develops treatment plans
      • Offers counseling sessions
      • Provides crisis intervention
    • Initiates Clinical Intervention:
      • Conducts counseling
      • Develops treatment plans
      • Provides crisis intervention
    • Contributes to departmental functioning by:
      • Participating in quality improvement activities
      • Engaging in community projects
      • Providing support groups

    Requirements:

    • Education: Master's in Counseling or equivalent
    • Licensure, Certification, Registration: None required
    • Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Excellent communication skills, negotiation abilities in healthcare, basic knowledge of Quality Improvement techniques
    • Experience:
      • In providing mental health services
      • In short-term counseling and crisis intervention
      • In running therapy and psychoeducational groups
