- Point of sale, check in and check out customers using Kennel Management Software
- Labeling pet belongings, food and medications during check in
- Responsible for the health and comfort of animals as well as recognizing emergency
- Documentation of all treatments and abnormal activity
- Walking dogs and picking up waste
- Provide animals with food and water according to our feeding schedule
- Cleaning and disinfecting the kennels and cages
- Changing bedding when soiled and replace with clean bedding
- Washing, drying and folding laundry
- General housekeeping of animal housing, food prep and laundry areas
- Administration of oral or topical medications as directed by veterinarians
- Help with bathing and grooming tasks
- Prepping animal crates for international transportation
- Other tasks needed to ensure the health and safety of animals
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience in animal care or other related fields (highly preferred, but will train the right candidate)
- Must have a positive attitude and a genuine love for dogs and cats of all shapes and sized and other animals
- Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
- A flexible schedule
- Physical ability to work with dogs and cats of various breeds and sizes
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
