The Role

Designs and implements development training programs to enhance the effectiveness of managers and teams to increase organization productivity and customer satisfaction. Assesses critical business issues and designs organization development and strategic plans to enhance company performance. Facilitates design and implementation of reengineering and/or reorganization efforts. Advises on team design and performance. Provides development, coaching and training managers on leadership skills.

Primary Focus:

• Supports execution of Learning and Development programs and initiatives with an area of responsibility 
• Provides coaching, training, and continued development to leaders
• Identifies leadership needs and recommends solutions for continuous improvement, acting as a liaison between L&D and area of responsibility

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience

One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:

• NNS Apprentice School graduate
• Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
• Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
• High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
• High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice to Have

• Plant or production operations a plus
• Deckplate leadership experience a plus
• Coaching experience preferred
• Will consider Supervisor Test Inspectors 1 and Construction Supervisor 2 with 6 years of experience.
