What You'll Do:

Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved care plan.
Explain procedures and treatments to resident and family to gain cooperation, understanding, and to allay apprehension.
Observe residents and record significant conditions or changes then relay information to supervisor or physician of resident's condition, reaction to drugs, treatments or if there is a significant incident.
Takes temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and other vital signs. Documents physical assessments of assigned residents.
Supervises work of caregivers to include staff development, training, rewarding, and disciplining.
Performs direct nursing care and other duties when necessary.
