    What You Will Do

    All Lowe's associates provide quality customer service, keeping the store clean, safe, and well-stocked with necessary products.


    As a Sales Specialist Flooring, this involves:

    • Being friendly and professional, understanding the customer's needs to suggest the best products and services for their project.
    • Ensuring merchandise reflects high showroom standards, operates correctly during demonstrations, and is up to date with the latest product offerings.
    • Practicing safe work methods, including operating store equipment properly.

    The Sales Specialist Flooring is an expert who explains product specifications to customers to close sales and provides consultative services, ensuring customer satisfaction before they leave the store. They are also responsible for managing orders and projects within their area.


    Travel Requirements:

    This role may occasionally require travel to meetings, trainings, or neighboring stores, although regular travel is not necessary.

    What We're Looking For

    Hourly Full Time:

    Scheduled for 39 to 40 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours based on store needs. Availability needed in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, any day of the week. Must be able to perform various physical activities as part of the job.

    • Minimum lifting requirement is 25 pounds without assistance, may lift over 25 pounds with or without help.

    What You Need To Succeed

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • 1 year of customer-facing sales experience OR 6 months of Lowe's retail experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 1 year of experience entering customer sales orders, including Special Order Sales.
    • 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs.
    • 2 years of customer service experience, including conflict resolution, customer relationships, and sales environment knowledge.
    • Experience in promoting product-related services and plans.
    • Experience with sales goals and metrics, ideally within a sales environment.
    • Previous experience in a flooring-related trade or selling flooring products.

    If a salesperson license is required, you must obtain it within sixty (60) days of starting this position.
