    Who will you be working with?

    This role works alongside a team of fellow project management specialists, reports directly to the Senior Project Manager of the eServices platform, and is part of the Service Excellence team within Wabtec's Freight Services Division.


    How will you make a difference?

    The Lead Project Management Specialist is responsible for creating, managing, and executing on documentation on change processes involving critical service projects.

    You'll create, review, analyze, and update Services Bill of Materials and Unit Bill of Materials in order to create a "Gold Standard" for our customers.

    This role is also responsible for working with Wabtec employees to plan and execute additional, but related, projects on schedule and within budget.


    What do we want to know about you?

    • Bachelors' Degree in a Technical discipline from an accredited College or University
    • OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or Military experience
    • OR Associate's Degree in Technical discipline with a minimum of 2 years professional work experience
    • Minimum of 3 years of Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Services experience
    • Ability to collaborate and influence cross functional teams
    • Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external organizations, including upper management and customers
    • Strong interpersonal, influence, and conflict resolution skills
    • Strong understanding of life-cycle cost / life-time value modeling and stochastic modeling
    • The ability to maintain reliable and predictable attendance (this role requires onsite physical presence Tues – Thurs with flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays in accordance with Wabtec's current hybrid work schedule. This role is not currently a full-time remote position).
    • A high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal

    What will your typical day look like?

    • Manage and execute on documentation of change processes involving service projects
    • Create, review, analyze, and update Services Bill of Material and Unit Bill of Materials
    • Facilitate communication within the team to achieve milestones and effectively manage communications with internal and external project stakeholders
    • Continually develop a network of resources in support of project execution
    • Manage the project budget and timeline, to ensure the resources are available to complete the project within budget and on time to meet business objectives
    • All other duties as required
