Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a Senior Engineer, responsible for executing both short-duration and multi-year landfill, civil, geotechnical, hydraulic, and landfill engineering projects ranging in budget from $50,000 to $1,000,000.
Works with multi-disciplinary design and construction teams to solve problems in the design and construction of foundation, pavement, stormwater, landfill cell/final cover and ancillary civil and hydraulic systems.
This job is a hybrid role and can be in one of our three offices:Farmington Hills, Akron, OH or Oak Ridge, TNCoordination with clients, hosting or participating in progress meetingsTracking budget and schedule, invoices and collection, supervising engineers, and technicians, and reviewing project deliverablesLead project representative on one or more projects of moderate to large size and complexityManages/interfaces with clients to maintain a positive business relationshipPrepares, negotiates, and manages routine projects and monitors the work of contractors and/or consultantsHas full quality control responsibilitiesManages project budget through internal financial accounting systemPrepares project proposalsParticipates in health and safety plan developmentDemonstrates consistent/exemplary safety complianceAdditional responsibilities include:Writes technical reports.
Performs technical review of plans.Qualifications include:
15 or more years of experience in civil, geotechnical or landfill engineering projectsProject management experience preferredMust be registered as a Professional Engineer by a state licensing board following NCEES Model Law and capable of registering with additional state licensing boards upon hireBachelor's degree in civil engineeringKnowledge of landfill engineering practicesKnowledge of construction management, CQA, and construction material testing practicesMust be able to work constructively in diverse teams including engineers, technicians, and non-technical personnelCTI is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
