    The Salvation Army Mission:

    The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for supporting department leaders in staffing processes from recruiting through exit interviews and will be responsible for maintaining recordkeeping and efficient office processes.

    Human Resources Coordinator:
    • Payroll
      • Supervise the preparation of payroll, making sure the processes are completed by department heads in time for payroll to be released.
      • Respond to inquiries about employees from Social Security, Insurance Companies, and Credit companies.
      • Manage the employee database keeping it current and up to date.
      • Manages the payroll deductions and exchange accounts for staff.
      • Works closely with the ARC command HRIS department.
    • Onboarding
      • Maintains open job listings and inputs data in to ISCMs, updating as needed.
      • Reviews and processes completed applications and documentation for new hires.
      • Provides new hires with basic Orientation and participates in Safe from Harm Training.
    • Documentation and Files
      • Process all personnel forms as relates to hiring, termination, medical insurance coverage, and vacations. Send necessary reports to ARC Command.
      • Creates and maintains content for personnel files.
    • Corrective Action Terminations
      • Supports Managers and Department Leaders in completing and processing of incident reports, corrective action documentation, personal improvement plans, and recommendations for termination.
      • Coordinates with Command HR Department
    • Reports Tracks Workman's Compensation and Insurance Claims.
    • Communicates with Command Human Resource, HRIS, and Finance Departments as requested.
    • Assist with TSA audits.
    • Provide timecard training to department heads.
    HR Coordinator

    1. Provides Secretarial Support to the Administrators.
    2. Gathers and reports statistics.
    3. Orders and distributes office, warehouse, and program supplies as requested.
    4. Maintains office equipment and contracts.
    5. Retrieves mail, opens, and distributes according to TSA Policy.
    6. Takes and distributes minutes for meetings.
    7. Supports the Program Team by preparing gratuities.
    8. Supports the Business Manager/Bookkeeper as needed.
    OTHER DUTIES: Other duties as assigned by the Administrator.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education and/or Experience

    A college degree in business administration or human resource training; and five years of experience in the industry with duties including supervision and recruitment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Is able to create spreadsheets in excel. Is able to learn to use the current payroll and finance programs being used by The Salvation Army.

    Language Skills

    Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    Clerical/Mathematics Skills

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of mathematics in the operation of the Adult Rehabilitation Center.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Must hold a Valid Driver's License and be able to drive a Salvation Army Vehicle.
