Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in North Portland is an essential player as a local and regional authority in severe medical conditions or injuries. With 24/7 proficiency in critical health issues, such as trauma, cardiac care, burns, extensive wounds, stroke, neurosurgery, and more, Legacy Emanuel is fundamental to the community's health and crucial to the Northwest's medical care.

Responsibilities

Performs ultrasound scans and biopsy procedures as per physician's directives, applying expertise and judgment in selecting imaging methods and patient care strategies.

Qualifications

Education:
Currently enrolled in and maintaining good standing in an accredited ultrasound school (AMA or ARDMS). Graduation from the program required within six months of employment.

Skills:
Proficiency in keyboard usage and proficiency in electronic systems essential for job duties.

Licensure

Licensure/Certification:

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with a focus on Physics.
Lack of proof of registration in Abdomen or OB/GYN (ARDMS AB or ARDMS OB) within one year of starting the non-certified Sonographer role will result in position termination.
Active state license in Sonography mandatory for all Oregon-based employees in this role. Temporary licensure accepted.
BLS/CPR Certification: American Heart Association, Health Care Provider Level BLS, and AED Certification obligatory.
