    Description

    Job Summary:

    As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will work closely with your experienced team to meet challenges and solve problems that arise while expanding our Data Analytics and AI platform.

    You will be working on different frontends of the platform and take responsibility together with your team for them.
    Be part of our journey here at Altair to bring different personas and their vastly different problem spaces all together on our cloud-first Data Analytics and AI platform: develop new features, improve existing ones, and creating an enjoyable user experience for interesting and oftentimes complex topics


    What You Will Do:
    Work on our Cloud service frontends with React + TypeScriptCreation of new frontend components, implementing new features for existing components, as well as eliminating bugs in our existing frontendsWrite automated tests for your code to find bugs before our customers do and to ensure confidence when things inevitably change in the futureConduct code & functionality reviews of tickets implemented by your colleagues to help maintain our high quality standardsParticipation in UX discussionsActive participation in Kanban/Scrum meetings

    What You Will Need:

    Basics: Bachelor or master's degree in CS or related areaVery good knowledge and practical working experience in React and Redux ToolkitVery good knowledge and practical working experience with TypeScript Knowledge of frontend test frameworks, e.g., jest and React Testing LibraryHave a passion for creating beautiful and easy-to-use UIs, as well as writing clean, robust, and easy to understand code.

    You have a constant drive to improve and learn new concepts, tools, and technologiesYou like working in a team and an agile environmentVery good verbal and written communication skills in English Preferred:

    An eye for good UX and the desire to provide a great experience for our usersCritical thinking to not just blindly follow designs provided by the Design teams, noticing edge cases or other problems and finding good solutions.

    Practical experience with maintaining complex web apps, especially w.r.t.

    dependency management and packagingExperience with AntDesignExperience with web sockets in ReactLeadership/Mentoring experience is a plus How You Will Be Successful:
