    The Opportunity


    The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing systems and metal fabrication components for conveyor handling products for agricultural business; determining product specifications; performing verification/maintenance and product management; illustrating systems from specifications, source control drawings, sketches, models, prototypes or verbal instructions and ensuring that company operating, and cost efficiencies are obtained, quality and safety standards are achieved, and customer delivery deadlines are met.

    Responsibilities


    Perform preliminary and advanced work in development of working layouts and final drawings adequate for detailing parts and units of design for new proposals and current designs.

    Revise size, shape, and arrangement of parts to create design drawings and participate in engineering and general design reviews.
    Review, create, and apply engineering standards and codes, including interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
    Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, or maintain conveyor handling products, equipment, systems, or processes to meet requirements.

    Work with Engineering and all Manufacturing Operations on engineering-related studies, designs, specifications, and drawings and to identify and implement solutions to logistics, mechanical problems, and technical solutions.

    Design products for several projects to meet all technical requirements.

    Design and coordinate engineering tests and experiments, including preparing qualification test procedures, acceptance test procedures, reports, standard operating procedures, standard work instructions.

    Create, modify, and maintain bills of material to support order management, manufacturing, material requirements and costs.
    Communicate with customers in the form of quotations, meetings, and presentations to understand and define their technical needs.
    Act as technical expert for the company for both internal and external customers.
    Develop CPQ applications using VB.NET to create a user-friendly application.
    Utilize SQL Server and databases to design and implement data models and perform data analysis.

    Utilize Agile/Scrum methodologies to ensure a timely and cost-efficient project delivery Developing and configuring customized ERP solutions and deploying ERP to ensure a seamless system integration.

    Use SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM to develop 3D CAD models and prints. Use Microsoft Excel to develop workflow Macros and Microsoft Planner and JIRA for task management.
    Domestic and international travel required up to 10% of time.

    Requirements

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an Engineering field
    3 years of related experience.
    Must also have 36 months of experience with each of the following:

    Working with engineering teams on engineering-related studies, designs, specifications, and drawings.
    Identifying and implementing solutions to logistics and mechanical problems.
    Designing and coordinating engineering tests and experiments.
    Reviewing, creating, and applying engineering standards and codes.
    Creating, modifying, and maintaining bills of material to support order management, manufacturing, material requirements and costs.

    Utilizing technologies and tools:

    VB.NET to develop CQP applications; Agile and Scrum methodologies; ERP solutions; SQL server to design data models; SolidWorks/SolidWorks PDM to develop 3D CAD models/prints; Microsoft Excel to develop workflow Macros; Microsoft Planner & JIRA for task management.

    Domestic and international travel required up to 10% of time.
