Gastroenterology is responsible for providing medical surgical and postoperative management of the GI tract.Responsibilities
- Examines diagnoses and provides a broad scope of treatments including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy diagnostic and therapeutic sigmoidoscopy proctoscopy capsule endoscopy endoscopic feeding tube insertions double balloon enterostomy and if trained to do so endoscopic ultrasound endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography.
