- Perform assembly operations of electronic components or subassemblies.
- Independently monitor and operate production equipment, auditing for proper functioning and reporting deviations.
- Maintain and clean equipment, work area, and facility based on 5s standards.
- Ensure quality standards by following proper inspection procedures and current quality control policies.
- Assemble cell pairs and modules using various tools and machines.
- Understand technical aspects of batteries through plans and diagrams.
- Measure electrical characteristics using appropriate equipment.
- Adhere to approved BorgWarner work instructions for assembly.
- Use hold tags for defective parts and maintain manufacturing practices.
- Comply with BorgWarner beliefs of Inclusion, Integrity, Excellence, Responsibility, and Collaboration.
- Participate in Safety, Health & Physical Requirements.
- High School diploma/GED required, or basic skills assessment.
- 1+ year of working in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced industrial lean environment preferred.
- SAP experience a plus.
- Experience with hand tools and troubleshooting machines/equipment.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
