    Description

    Zankou Chicken is an award-winning, family-owned, fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant chain with eight locations in Southern California. At Zankou, we serve quality, natural, and uniquely delicious Mediterranean meals at an affordable price and with a WOW level guest experience.

    The guest-cashier interaction is the first impression our guests get of Zankou Chicken. Let's make it a great one and WOW our guests Let's make their experience one of a kind.

    **RESPONSIBILITIES:**

    Guest Service

    Provides a "WOW" Experience to all Guests of Zankou through excellent Guest Service with a high level of energy, friendly and positive attitude

    Helps Guests by providing information and suggestions about our menu

    Takes and completes Guest order transactions on POS Station (cash register)

    Takes charge of all transactional procedures including expediting, checking for accuracy, correcting orders, and communicating with BOH team.

    Responsible for accurately processing cash and credit card transactions by following all cash handling policies

    Professionally and calmly resolves Guest complaints with manager supervision

    Greets and assists Guests, completing requests to the best of their ability at the cash register and dining area

    Teamwork

    Partners with restaurant cooks to assist with prepping duties as needed such as stocking items, preparing produce and sauces, and cleaning prep areas

    Has a strong Team Member attitude and can work well with others from diverse backgrounds

    Communicates with Team Members and Management throughout the shift regarding status of orders and availability of product

    Maintains all dining and restroom areas in a clean, sanitary and safe manner by cleaning all surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and removing trash from the restaurant

    Safety

    Understands and follows all food safety and temperature standards

    Helps maintain a safe environment for all Guests and Team Members by following all Zankou Chickens Safety procedures

    All other duties as assigned

    **SKILLS & EXPECTATIONS**

    Must be able to work a flexible schedule

    Willingness to adapt to a changing and growing environment

    Food Handler Certificate (obtain within 30 days of hire)

    Basic math skills

    Attention to detail

    Strong interpersonal skills

    Reaches, bends, squats and frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50lbs

    Multi-tasking, organization and time-management skills
