    Salary Range:
    $4,353/month to $5,832/month; Starting Salary DOQ, DOE

    Brief Duties and Responsibilities:
    Perform farm and commercial property appraisals and other related work.

    This requires experienced real property appraisal work determining the value of residential, farm and commercial property for tax assessment purposes.

    Work requires the employee to perform duties with relative independence in the normal course of determining and assigning construction class ratings and applying values to accessory improvements.

    This position performs strong sales studies and develops accurate market sales data used in determining final value of a property.

    Contact with the property owner is characteristic of this position, requiring good communication skills.


    Working Environment/Physical Abilities:
    Work is conducted in the field the majority of the time but includes some office work as well.

    Must be able to work in all kinds of weather and traverse various terrain and/or buildings on foot or in a vehicle.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Minimum of two (2) years of college.

    Three (3) years of real estate appraisal experience, and background experience in the building construction industry, or private appraisal work; OR substituting, on a month for month basis, any combination of experience, education, and training which would provide the level of knowledge and ability required.

    Valid driver's license and ability to drive a motor vehicle is required. Have present accreditation from Washington State Department of Revenue and/or hold a General Appraiser's License. Must maintain continuing education requirements in accordance with RCW's. Must be bondable.
