    Job Description

    Peters Endoscopy at Bethany Medical is seeking talented CRNAs to join our team-oriented Endoscopy Ambulatory Surgical Center. This PRN position is for Monday-Saturday 6:45-1:45. Accredited ASC performs colonoscopy, EGD and flexible sigmoidoscopy for ASA I, II and stable III patients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform Pre-anesthesia assessment.
    • Performs in a high efficiency model for endoscopy.
    • Administering Preanesthetic medication and using medically appropriate sedation techniques.
    • Skilled in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation management and Airway management techniques (BLS/ACLS)
    • Knowledgeable in Noninvasive monitoring.
    • Demonstrates knowledge in Mechanical ventilation/oxygen therapy.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of Fluid, electrolyte, acid-base management.
    • Demonstrates awareness of patient & visitor fears and apprehensions.
    • Shows respect, courtesy and advocacy in all dealings with all people, including, but not limited to patients, coworkers, and visitors.
    • Displays a positive attitude, and team-oriented spirit, indicated by a willingness to assist where and whenever needed.
    • Attends meetings as required.
    • Writes legibly and with correct grammar and sentence structure.
    • Follows HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality and maintains security of Protected Health Information (PHI) and business information.
    • Does not exhibit, divulge, copy or remove the contents of any record or report except to fulfill work assignments.
    • Participates in professional organizations as indicated.
    • Performs additional duties as required.

    PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    Knowledge of the administration of anesthesia. Skilled in performing pre-anesthesia assessment and ordering the appropriate labs/diagnostic testing. Knowledgeable in airway management. Knowledge of medical terminology to communicate with staff. Skill in making mathematical computations utilizing standard formula. Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public. Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions. Ability to follow written protocols. Ability to communicate clearly.

    Education: Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor

    Experience: Prior experience required

    Certificate/License: Holds current state licensure as a registered nurse in the state of NC, currently certified by the Council on Certification of Nurses Anesthetists. BLS and ACLS
