    Position: IT Support Specialist

    Location: Providence, RI 02908

    Contract Term: 4 months+

    Hours / Week: 25

    Qualifications

    • Knowledge of technology, networking, system operations, web and multiple system practices.
    • Established background in information technology systems, troubleshooting and support minimum 2 years of experience.
    • Highly organized and enjoys assisting others
    • Such alternatives to the above qualifications may be appropriate and acceptable.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

    Primary Responsibilities to include:

    • Supporting the entire Davies community of users
    • Managing the Help Desk ticketing system to ensure accurate and timely response to and closure of tickets.
    • Manage the 1:1 Chromebook initiative by streamlining workflow, coordinating warranty repair services, and controlling inventory.
    • Assist with hardware issues, desktop computers, Chromebooks, laptops, tablets, printers, etc.
    • Maintain accurate technology inventory, tracking and reporting capability
    • Assist with any special projects or comprehensive system upgrades.
    • Perform other duties assigned by the Director or IT Coordinator.

    Skills Required

    • Ability to communicate with faculty, staff and students; both written and oral proficiency is required
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects while maintaining high customer service standards
    • Has a working knowledge of common information technologies, systems and office productivity tools
    • Collaboration and teamwork
