    Job Overview

    We are seeking a seasoned Tax Manager to join our team at Rea & Associates, a top 100 accounting firm with a 'People First' culture. Our firm offers a competitive compensation package and a robust benefits plan.

    The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in taxation, prior supervisory experience, and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tax, Accounting, or a related field. A CPA certification is also required. Experience with federal tax compliance, federal tax accounting, and provisions, tax analysis, and tax research is essential.

    About the Role

    • Advise clients on tax implications and provide guidance on minimizing tax burden and cost of compliance
    • Evaluate and select alternative actions to ensure clients comply with all applicable authorities
    • Identify opportunities to maximize client benefits through efficient and effective methods

    Responsibilities

    1. Ensure tax team complies with all Firm policies and standards
    2. Build relationships with clients to discuss various federal tax concerns
    3. Develop and implement strategies to propel the accounting career forward
    4. Manage engagement workflow, engagement team resources, and engagement billing
    5. Lead and provide career guidance for the development and motivation of the tax team
    6. Communicate with the IRS and state and local tax authorities

    Requirements

    • 5 - 8 years of prior experience in taxation
    • Prior supervisory experience
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tax, Accounting, or related field
    • CPA certification
    • Experience with federal tax compliance, federal tax accounting, and provisions, tax analysis, and tax research
